Job Summary We are currently seeking an experienced Tester to join our Kansas City team. The Tester I is responsible for conducting tests, data collection, and component-level troubleshooting on low and medium-voltage systems for defense and aerospace products. Essential Functions• Independently reads and understands prints (for example, finds the winding page and comprehends the different attributes of the winding).• Understands the terminology, number line, and color code used in in the Testing department.• Identifies and possesses a basic understanding of testing equipment.• Understands how to determine causes of Direct Current Resistance (DCR) during the winding check.• Sets up and operates various testing machinery with limited assistance (for example, Wayne-Kerr, HP 4191, HP 4274A, and Behlman).• Conducts Turns/Phase testing on multiple components, using multiple methods, with minimal assistance.• Possesses a thorough understanding of Ohm’s Law.• Independently operates the Thermal Shock Chamber – Level 1.• Understands and follows safety requirements.• Performs other duties as required and assigned.
